Get your group together for some skiing and snowboarding in beautiful Lake Tahoe.  Schools, ski clubs, churches and businesses agree that Sierra-at-Tahoe is the best place in Tahoe to meet with friends as a group. Groups of 20 or more can save on lift tickets, season passes, lessons, dining and more.  We have dedicated day group sales managers and an on-mountain coordinator to help your group experience go smoothly.

Group Lessons & Equipment Rentals for 20 or More People

The better you are at skiing and snowboarding, the more fun it is! The Sierra Ski and Snowboard School will get the beginners in your group going (and stopping!) and help the more advanced skiers and snowboarders with refining their technique.  The Rental Shop offers first-time, beginners and intermediate skiers and riders ability specific equipment that will ease the learning curve.  Winter clothing and helmets are also available for rent (restrictions apply).

Learn to Ski or Ride
For the first-timer. Package includes limited access all-day lift ticket, rental equipment and lesson. Lessons meet at 10am and 1pm and depart 15 minutes later.




Intermediate or Advanced Ski or Ride
For intermediate or advanced skiers/snowboarders.  Offers full access lift ticket, rental equipment and lesson. Lessons meet at 10am and 1pm and depart 15 minutes later.

Mid-week School Program

Bring your school group to Lake Tahoe's favorite ski resorts!  You've heard the expression, "work hard, play hard." And no doubt, the students at your school work hard in the classroom every day.  It's important to reward their commitment to learning by planning a day of fun outdoors for your next field trip, outing or activity.  We offer incredible deals to school groups for this very purpose.

Working with unpredictable weather and last minute changes in ticket options, Sierra-at-Tahoe is more than willing to adjust with the needed changes. Their willingness to be flexible creates a satisfied experience especially for group coordinators. Lunch Vouchers

About the Discount: There may be no such thing as a free lunch, but at Sierra there is such thing as a discounted lunch, especially for groups. Enjoy 20% savings with Food & Beverage vouchers! You can buy as many vouchers as you need for your group, no minimum purchase required when purchasing in conjunction with day group products such as lift tickets, lesson packages, etc.
Cost:     • Pay $11 for a voucher worth $13
    • Pay $12 for a voucher worth $15
    • Pay $16 for a voucher worth $20
How to Buy: When you fill out your group reservation form, please note how many lunch vouchers or meal deals you will need.

Groups Frequently Asked Questions

What time should I arrive?
We recommend pulling in to the parking lot no later than 8:00 a.m.

If I have 10 skiers and 10 snowboarders, do I still qualify for group rates?
Of course! Any group of 20 people or more enjoying one of the many snow sports activities qualifies for group rates.

Not everyone is renting equipment; do we still receive the rental discount?
Absolutely.  Even if there is only 1 person renting in your group of 20 or more, that 1 person will receive the discount.

Some people do not want to buy lunch coupons, can I purchase just a few or does everyone have to buy one?
You can purchase as many as you like, however many works for your group.

Does Sierra have any Freestyle Terrain Parks?
We not only have one of the best parks & pipe in Lake Tahoe, but the Nation!  We have also been creating some cutting-edge terrain features as well as adding new boxes and rails to our parks.

Where do I pick up my tickets?
On the day of your arrival, your tickets will be at the group sales counter located in the Season Pass Office. Our Group Coordinator will be there to help you with your tickets and other needs.  Your group leader will go in and make one payment to receive all the lift tickets.

How do I get to Sierra?
Sierra is located on HWY 50 in Twin Bridges, CA. Click here for driving directions.

What kind of weather can I expect?
Lake Tahoe's weather is excellent!  Make sure everyone in your group dresses in layers so they can easily put on or take off clothes, depending on the weather.  Mountain must-haves also include: sunscreen, lip balm and sunglasses or goggles.  We also have current and forecasted weather conditions on our website.

Day Group Basics

  • Day Groups are 20+ people playing on the same day.
  • Every 21st ticket is free!
  • One person must organize and pay for the group trip with one form of payment.

Pre-Trip To Do's

  • Select your date.
  • Contact a Day Group Specialist at 530.543.3134 or use our inquiry form.
  • Calculate number and type of lessons, rentals and tickets your group will need and give this to a Day Group Specialist
  • Avoid the morning rush and pre order/pay and we will mail the tickets straight to you.

Pre-Trip Checklist

  • Packing essentials include sunscreen, lip balm, eye protection, warm hat and gloves.
  • Purchase tickets and vouchers from Day Group Sales Ticket Counter.
  • Distribute lift tickets, rental, ski school and lunch vouchers.
  • Designate a meeting time and place for return trip home.
  • All group members with lesson or rentals go to Village Rental Shop.
